At least that's something. Me, I personally don't allow myself to think things will be bad. I wouldn't call myself an optimist, but...expecting the other shoe to drop is just miserable.
But really, what's the point of that? Sure, the shoe will drop. But maybe it will be tomorrow, or in a week, or in a year. If you just keep yourself in perpetual misery, you're locking yourself away from any possible happiness you can find.
