[ Anaxagoras knows that they have been embracing what they have here in earnest, but in the same vein he cannot let them forget their reality, either. That there are things things that must be not lost in the flames of their passion, and depth of their intense love.
All the same, it means he will cling to what hope there is in the first place. In essence, this one. ]
...Well, I am very glad to hear that you are happy rather than frustrated with my decision. I would have been very put out otherwise.
[ He says with some dry humor, but...he means it, with the way his smile reaches his face, gentle and true. He takes pause to lift a hand so he can slowly brush the back of it against Hansa's cheek, seeing the emotion before his very eye rousing soft storms in his heart. In his entire being. ]
And, for further assurance, I do have to say I am no stranger to war. The Flame-Chase Journey was rife with that in its campaign against the Black Tide, and the fool I mentioned earlier on...but, as for payment, I am still considering some ideas.
Proper collateral must be made in the end, after all. [ ... ] In the end, it is...definitely something. Quite a big enough matter that if you desire to shed some tears, I would wholly welcome it.
[ Hope. A burning desire to live, despite everything. And love. These things are important things that he has gained thanks to Hansa. He puts aside his tool in his other hand so he can open his arms in an embrace. They're already close enough for it, and he too can feel the emotions welling up inside of him... ]
[He's talking. Hansa swears he hears it. He could always listen to Anaxagoras. The ups, the downs, the horrible laughing fits. He will always listen.]
[But even as the man delivers his dry statements and calm reassurances, he can't help but keep being tripped up over it again and again. The Professor wants to live. He wants to stand against his fate. He wants to live for HIM.]
[Anaxagoras spreads open his arms. There's more than just a war at home. If he isn't careful, and he leaves the Church sooner rather than later for his blasphemous actions, then he and Anaxagoras could be put in danger. And then those mages...there's so much to think about, even on top of the hypothetical of them winning this battle against that powerful woman named Magi.]
[He sees the welcoming arms, and sinks into the embrace with a choked noise. He won't cry, but he has to say, with a hoarsez emotional voice:]
[ Anaxagoras finds himself caught up in the moment, a whirlwind that is large enough to swallow them whole without leaving anything behind. Perhaps he is in a state of shock; he doesn't know how any of this is real. One might even debate if he is at all, considering the true nature of his existence.
But, the fact remains is that he is. Their futures are still something unknown - who knows where it will lead them. Yet in the end, Anaxagoras wants it to be somewhere he can share with the other man no matter where it is.
One where he is still breathing, to experience it all. Hope may be a thing with feathers, but upon which wings one can take flight to reach it. ]
Hansa...
[ He murmurs his name, moving a hand to gently stroke the other man's back. ]
I want to also let you know:
I won't ever let go of that desire.
[ And of course, for what that means for the both of them is that he will stubbornly hold onto it tightly, like he does the man in his arms. ]
If you do, I'll be sad. And maybe a little mad. And a tiny bit disappointed.
[Even through the emotion, he's pulling his head up - and grinning as bright as the sun.]
We have to do our best to get out of here. And then we'll see where that desire takes us.
[Hansa leans in, pressing a kiss against the edge of the man's mouth, his voice a low murmur. Like a prayer. He wants - needs - for everything to work out. For this all to end, for everyone to be okay.]
[Anaxagoras deserves to live the life he wishes for.]
...You wouldn't be sad leaving home, though. And your Flame Chase Journey. Would you?
[ Anaxagoras' tone is gentle as he says this, but firm. Though, he nods at what he has to say next - they will need to put forth the best they have to leave, and allow this strong desire to carry them on powerful wings towards their future.
He feels the kiss pressed against the side of his mouth, and he return it, soft, like a light peck, against the other man's lips. ]
...I remember, once upon a time, I believe I may have asked someone what their dream was - back home. I had dreams of my own, of course, but...hmph, as you might guess, I never looked too far out beyond ones I could fulfill in their immediacy.
Now that I have this chance, I believe I'm fine with it. The Flame-Chase Journey has already come to an end...and I've done everything I could for the people I care about.
I'll miss them, though I can't imagine a future without you.
If you're really that satisfied with everything from home...
[He would hate to just tear the man away from everything and everyone he cares about. Then again, the man seems adamant on his own decision. He doesn't seem to have any regrets.]
[Hansa feels a familiar heat creeping into his face, though, at that last statement.]
...You really keep saying things that make me feel like a blushing schoolboy. Wow.
Just as much as I am satisfied with everything from the man that I love.
[ ...is this helping you, Hansa?
Because Anaxagoras sure thinks that it is! Or maybe he added that in because of what he said just then and wants to (wholesomely) make him blush a bit more. ]
...Well, I do have to say that these things are simply easy to come to mind. If it can make you feel like that, all the better, hm?
[ A little crease is seen when he smiles this time. ]

[He's joking of course, but he'll emphasize it with reaching forward to shake the man (gently) by the shoulders.]
You're such a fiend, you know?
1/2
[ Anaxagoras goes quiet, after he has been shaken...oh his poor, weak body. How can you do this to him? ]
2/2
...One who has a way with words, right? I'm certain that you enjoy my fiendish ways, as always. Otherwise, you wouldn't be so clearly touched.
[ The nerve of this man. ]
