[How much to share? How much not to share? Anaxagoras is practically a civilian. And yet he comes from another world. Would it matter if he was told? Would it break the mystery that mages and the Church are told to keep? He doesn't know.]
[He's been breaking a lot of rules lately.]
It could change the world. But its all done for a pitiful selfish reason. Everyone is fighting to have a wish granted. That's all. It's not for the good of humanity.
Many wars are begun the very same way. Others are simply dragged into the conflict, whether they wish to or not. I imagine your faction was, perhaps? Or they could have been willing?
[ Anaxagoras sees that Hansa is simply not happy about it regardless. He believes that it is likely the answer is to be the former, but he will not assume. Chances are high enough it can be the latter. ]
Regardless, some argued selfishness was the same way of the Flame Chase Journey. Though, objectively, there was merit to it. At least, in that those who took to it believed that they were saving the world.
But, in a way, there was still an element of selfishness to it. For quite awhile, someone behind the scenes desired a ridiculous result.
[ Since a certain someone was hoping all along to engineer it in order to generate a certain route. ]
My faction is neutral. Technically, for this war, I'm its Overseer. Heaven knows what's going on without me...though barely anyone was listening to me anyways...
[Which already was one point among many as to why everything was so strange. This was a false war. A messed up war. Nothing was following the plan anyone had set up, let alone the Church's.]
[A strange, fake Grail war.]
Saving the world, but selfish all the same...
[He pauses, thoughtful, and curious all the same.]
[ The lines in HSR are so stuck in my head, it's unbelievable. ]
So, basically they were essentially acting like fools. Am I wrong?
[ Anaxagoras immediately deriding the people being exceptionally a pain because they may very well deserve it. His harsh kind of speech is unsurprising, ready to be deployed at a moment's notice.
As such, here too there would be the same here as he speaks the following: ]
Either way, this "someone" is one who donned the name "Lycurgus". Although his identity was a bit more complicated.
He is an individual who wished to use the Flame Chase Journey to ensure wide-spread destruction across a multitude of worlds. I presume I don't have to state what my thoughts on such a goal was in the first place.
Hmph. A pity that you need to still put up with their nonsense, then.
I'd say something about them learning the errors of their ways, but oftentimes people need quite a push.
[ Anaxagoras' expression does not necessarily show raw surprise as he considers the question, but he sure feels it.
Then, he smiles. It's small, a little...wry, he'd think. But, it's actually more gentle than he even knows himself. Maybe even a touch bittersweet, though not wholly sad - he's actually touched. He's made an expression like this before, when he accepted certain events have come to pass. Or he found his dromas plush he thought he lost. ]

Still, I wish I could say at the time I had beaten that being's face in indeed. Though, I don't believe I quite managed it just yet. I also had reasons to leave it to the others.
[ Last he remembers, his own efforts brought certain results. Yet, in some ways it is a miracle he's standing before the other man right now. ]

[Even had the nerve to threaten him. Him, a lowly neutral Overseer! The nerve!]
[But someone using a ritual for their own destructive needs sounds...]
[Quite familiar.]
[He looks a little severe, as he starts to talk.]
And I hope you beat this Lycurgus' face in.
[There is something like a determined glint in his eyes.]
Do you need help?
