I guess, but even Reality Marbles don't last that long, as far as I'm aware. Then again, some of that ten years moved by especially quickly, so time in that place was strange in general.
We did. That was our task. We raised a boy for ten years...housed him, fed him, helped him with his schoolwork, taught him how to fight. Some of those ten years...went by in a blur. But there are moments I remember very, very clearly.
Erased from existence. He was never...supposed to live. You see, he went into some ruins as a child, and died there. A spirit, who was trapped there and wanted her and her memory to be discovered, created a timeline with her power where he still lived, but only so that he could grow to adulthood and eventually return to find her.
...So when we returned with him, and found that spirit, her power ran out. And that timeline he actually lived in was erased. Nobody in that world remembers him, anymore. Only I and Emet-Selch ever remembered he even existed.
[What a joke. An existence that was never...meant to be.]
Of course it means enough. No matter what...he will always exist, for me. I won't let go of that memory, for as long as I live, because if I do...then that's just how he truly dies.
Like this, in my memory...he's eternal, in his own way.
