[Someone's already here when Hua Cheng arrives - a certain priest, who's just leaning against a wall and casting his gaze upwards at the night sky. Even though he doesn't look down, he seems to sense the other's entrance, for he speaks up:]
Beautiful, isn't it? [Even in the low light, it's easy to tell he's smiling.] You know, if we weren't kidnapped and all...I'd say that being here is a pretty nice time.
[ Hua Cheng angles his head towards the voice, before he looks up properly to take in the stars. There's some that aren't familiar, others that are, but many that aren't supposed to be there, probably. ]
Aside from the fact that we're kidnapped, I suppose it's not all terrible. It wouldn't be so bad to just vacation here. [ A huff. ] Any of your stars here?
[Ah, if it isn't his clone at the railroad station. Hansa's eyes flit to where the broken window is. To think of what happened...was Hajime chased by Virid? What exactly happened?]
[Will they ever know?]
[He waves at Hua Cheng, letting out a light sigh.]
Sure wish a train could just take us away from this mess.
[ Hansa looks at the broken window, and Hua Cheng assesses the other that Xie Lian broke during their investigation. He lifts his hand in response to the wave, crossing the station to sit on the top of a bench instead of in it proper. ]
We don't have trains, but I can understand its function. [ A huff, his arms crossing over his chest as he looks straight off through the still-intact windows. ]
It wouldn't take it back, but it would mean that many here wouldn't have to sit here and question their morals.
week 1 post execution WEEPS I NEED TO GET BACK TO OUR OTHER TAGS
[The wide expanse of space. Kano went out there, never to be seen again.]
[Hansa is just standing on the control bridge in his dumb Anakin Skywalker outfit, pensively looking out at the stars and planets. This all seems...ridiculous, when he thinks about it. But terrible took. Like a joke gone sour.]
[He sees Hua Cheng approaching when he sees the reflection in the glass, and turns, giving him a wave.]
[ Not too many people seem to be heading through the station according to PC requests anyways, which is no shocker, there. Hua Cheng uses it for the quiet, gaze sweeping over - well, everything. They missed something, somewhere. He doubts he'll find it.
But he still at least looks, as he makes his way to the bridge. Seeing Hansa doesn't surprise him. ]
Brooding. [ Dryly. ] Mm, after the past two days, it seems a quiet enough place. I don't think there's anything new to find, at this point. But it was worth a walk.
[His expression turns stern at the next statement, though.]
We definitely missed too much. Having two murders didn't help, but...I just can't wrap my mind around it. Its like we're missing a big piece, and its under our noses.
[ A dark chuckle leaves him, but the joking gets set aside as he looks out at the stars. ]
A piece we may not find again, given the fact we can't preserve any of the locations, any of the information, any of the evidence, in a way that's meaningful. There's so many of us here, we can divide tasks and investigations better than this - but we didn't.
w3 post cyoa HOW DID I MISS THESE PRIOR HC TAGS...goes to tag them i guess. weeps
[So hey, fellow eyepatch clone. Here's a cyborg former priest, just sitting on a bench. He still has his black cat, which he's just petting absentmindedly.]
[He looks over and offers a smile when he sees Hua Cheng, but doesn't say anything, otherwise.]
[ With his vision coming and going, much like when he lost it early on Wednesday, he has a feeling that something else is going to be taken. So, he's going to make use of it while he can.
... which is to check out Hansa, when he spots him. ]
Well, [ a beat ] I'm sure people have tried to ask for every story under the sun, but, honestly, don't you just look a thousand li away.
[Well, aren't these bubbles troublesome? Hansa is grumbling as he tries to avoid them, twisting out of the way of them, before he suddenly turns - right into you!]
[ Hello to you, too, Hansa! Hua Cheng has been doing the same dance to avoid them, but hasn't run into anyone until this particular encounter. He doesn't startle, but instead stares at the memory as it plays out.
There's a beat, after watching it - contemplative silence, things clicking into place as he recalls Hansa's battle with the bear during their fetch quest.
And then amusement, as he barks out a laugh. ]
I suppose it could've picked a worse one. Suddenly I understand your penchant for wrestling bears.

[Its sure what they're good at.]
I can't find anything new, either. I just still can't figure it out.

[ At least they can crack jokes like this. Reasons why he likes Hansa. ]
We missed too much, in our investigation. I hate to admit it, too, but I can't figure it out either.

week 4 wednesday morning
Oh! Oh, sorry, I-
[And then a bubble pops against you - and a memory suddenly appears, featuring a boy with a characteristic mole under his left eye that might seem familiar...]
[And when that's done, Hansa just lets out a groan.]
...Well, I guess these bubbles really like that memory, huh.

Guilty as charged for bear wrestling even as a kid. Though then, it was about survival's sake than just for fun.
week 7 friday
[Here's a priest! Who remembers he's a priest! Just walking up to him in the Queen Room, grinning over at Hua Cheng.]
Guess things worked out well for all of us, huh?
