If only leaving were so simple.

[thanks, he hates this place. he's idly swiping at the device once more, looking over the new profiles-- as little as they say.]

But no. It seemed the least likely place to be crowded.

The one in the wolf mask, yes.

[a glance down to the device-]

They were not terribly difficult, but perhaps only in comparison to what they had to say.

So I have heard, yes. One would think the competition aspect to be unnecessary, and yet here we are.

[with every passing hour this place just gets Worse.]

Or simply making poor decisions. I suppose the apparent offer would help some, but it still seems a hindrance.

[of course matters needed to be complicated further. perfect.]

It has from the start.

[he is still not over the unfortunate first message.]

From what we have seen of them so far, their organization remains just as poor.

They claim it to be the will of this Realm itself, and I do not find that so far outside possibility.

[they manifested the will of a star-- why could this strange place not have its own too? ]

But it seems it does not communicate with them in a very straightforward manner.

It would explain why our progress in exploring it has been stymied so.

[the world itself containing them would make it truly impossible to go any further.]

What more did you learn from yours?

If they know so little, then mayhaps there is no point to starting too soon-- or they may yet be dealing with the rest of their number.

[there was a mention of some other mess with the rest of them, or something like that, wasn't there...]

And so we are left to wait once more, subject to such whims.

In the absence of any such movements forward to make, patience is our sole remaining option... frustrating as it is.

[he may be used to it, but that doesn't mean he likes it in this situation.]

My expectations remain low as well, and I pray they are not lowered further.

[he just rolls his eyes at that, seeming to take it as it's meant-- or at least not to be so offended as to say something.]

They seem convinced of it, but I will believe it when it happens. There is yet nothing to say it will certainly be a problem.

[it should be harder to affect his own.

then again, it should be impossible to trap him here.]

Have some of those not already been shared?

[he gestures to the device in his hand, there.]

I do find the talent of being a thorn in others' sides interesting as well, but your point is taken.

[a sigh, as he waves a hand. this, he thinks, is fine enough to tell.]

Greek is unfamiliar, but the Underworld is the realm of aether existing both within and without the world. As water falls to the seas and rises again to the skies, so too is it an integral part of the cycle-- the realm to which departed souls return.

[there is your context, hansa.]

And for your part, just what Lord is it that you serve?
