They clarified that it came into effect because it does apply to at least one of them, but they cannot say which, and that any who lose their powers are more vulnerable to death. They had previously informed me contributions toward nova gathering are on a team basis, not individual, and that we are behind in potentially important ways-- which I now suspect to be because we are also behind in number.
...along with, perhaps, the nature of those they have been tied to.
