[ Snowfield? She knows there are other Holy Grail Wars out there, but is this one the scale of the Fuyuki one?
Jeanne smiles. ]
I'm happy to meet you, Father Cervantes. I am not a participant of the war. Do you know what the Ruler does? I've been summoned by the Holy Grail itself.
[ She has no Master. ]
There is no weaknes in knowing my True Name. It's not as if my history tells you what can harm me, and it's a way of showing trust to those who know Servants.
I've vaguely heard of a Ruler. But there were none in the Grail Wars that I know of.
[He's not super in the know of obscure fate/ lore.]
You were burnt at the stake, Saint. That's one thing that could harm you. [A beat. Is it blasphemous to point something out that in front of a magical being that is the presentation of a holy saint? Maybe?] Anyways, this isn't exactly a Grail War, and the rules here aren't ones we know. Keeping some stuff close to your chest is totally valid, you know.
[Well, a True Name basically has the whole story behind it, doesn't it? Unless there's something in her history that isn't that widely known. He supposes that's what she's getting at.]
Worried? [His eyebrows raise in slight surprise - before his face eases into a grin.] Hardly not. My role is one of neutrality. I don't take the sides of Servants......though you're an unusual one in that you're neutral too, I suppose.
My priority is making sure the Holy Grail War doesn't disturb the world.
[ She is neutral, but certain people doing certain things have forced her hand. ]
I intend to do what I can so I can return to upholding that, but to make it more clear, as a Ruler, I'm given Command Seals that can be tied to any Servant participant.
[ Which is why she has less to worry about even if they all know her name. ]

[ She accepts that others have given her the title of saint, but there are some titles and names that are more true than others.
Her lips curve in a small smile. ]
Rulers are afforded a few privileges, and I'm not sure why you think I've divulged everything simply because I don't mind giving my True Name.
[ She is open, but not everything is out in the open. ]
Are you worried for me, Father?

[Sorry, Jeanne. He lets out a noise that sounds like the mixture between a scoff and a laugh.]
You know, with legends like you, who needs Overseers, am I right?
[YOU'RE TAKING HIS JOB but that's okay overseers are overrated anyways]

[ She's a special case. ]
It's only when the Holy Grail judges that the war has a possibility of becoming too extreme that I'm summoned. I'm sure you're doing a fine job.
[ It's probably because he's doing his job that there's no need for a Ruler in his Holy Grail War. ]
no subject
[And ha. HA. Ha. The Snowfield Holy Grail War going normally without any need for a Ruler. Ha. HOO BOY.]
Anyways, my case is...special. [Hm!] But anyways, Jeanne as Ruler...I don't think a Grail War could ask for anything better.

Her gaze lowers a fraction, as if almost embarrassed and a little discomfited. ]
I... I wouldn't go that far. There are other Heroic Spirits who would make great Rulers.
But that both our Holy Grail Wars warrant being called special is concerning.
